Mallacoota Move pt 3

Somehow or another I have forgotten other moves as I have forgotten how long it takes to unpack everything!

Daybreak today wasn't much of a snap.  Low cloud and drizzle pretty much all day.  At least in this image you can see across the Inlet.
The rain did let up for our dog walk, and despite the track being wet Tammy waddled on quite well.  The exciting bit of the walk was Frances spotting a Black-faced Monarch ...
.. from the boardwalk near Shady Gully.  (Image by Greg Miles via Avibase).  This is only my second sighting of this species at Mallacoota, and made selecting Bird of the Day easy!

The damp weather seemed to bring out the Superb Lyrebirds.  As we drove back and forth and roundabout during the day we saw several fossicking in the damp leaves in the gutters.  Back at Karbeethong one was walking up the lawn next door.  I tried to photograph it, but the camera knew I was really after the balcony railing - and the raindrops on the Persoonia, which look pretty if you click on the image).
Today's view from the deck is very like that from Karbeethiong.
Here is the lounge about 1000 hrs.
By 1400 hrs the settee has been reconstructed, the tower of boxes removed and the bookshelves filled.
Kitchen at 1000 hrs ...
... and 1400 hrs.  I should have taken a photo at about 1345 hrs when most of the floor was covered with empty cardboard boxes!
We found on Monday that the second toilet had a continued run problem which at that time fixed itself by tapping the plunger.  On Tuesday the problem recurred but the solution didn't.  However I knew that the previous owners had referred to "Les Bruce the local plumber" and I was able to find his phone number and he came round in 30 minutes, and fixed the problem in 10 minutes.  Seemed a very nice guy!

The rain continued through the day and by the time darkness arrived was up to 15.5 mm.
