We were promised some rain on 5 February and ended up getting a very nice 44mm. In some other parts of the are the score was higher with Rossi - about 20km SE - getting 150mm. The two images show a crossing of the Molonglo River with water flowing over the road and run-off from a paddock that has been a dustbowl for some months.
I recently put up a post showing a sword buried in our dam. This is what it looked like after capturing a lot of the run-off from this event. I had a rough water height measure in the dam as well and that suggested the level rose by 2 feet (sorry, 600mm)!
