May 2015 updates
As the month contained Mothers Day I thought I would include a photo of some Chrysanthemums I purchased in Woolworths.
Other than looking pretty, this requires a small story. Back in the day, about 60 years ago, my dad used to grow chrysanthemums like this for the cut flower trade, selling them through Covent Garden Market in London. I have tried to get a source of these big bloomed varieties in Australia but have failed with people telling tales about quarantine laws preventing them being sold across State borders. I bet Woolies have found a way round this!
