Blue sky, pink tongue? Not quite

One of the signs of the weather warming up is that the reptiles emerge from their Winter haunts,  The first of these this year was a Bearded Dragon.  The next couple of reptiles on our place had a total of 4 legs less than the dragon, but had about 2m (~7 feet) in length.  They kept moving so no photo.

Heading up the block today I came across a Shingleback basking in the pleasant sunshine.
Getting down to an ant's eye view...
... eventually it poked its tongue out.
If it was a dog with a tongue that colour I'd be very worried!

The sky is meant to be blue, but in the evening of the 9th it was rather pink!

This lasted for about 3 minutes, as the sun sank behind the hills.
