Cuckoo with a view and fruit blossom
A couple of days a week we go for a run along Widgiewa Rd and get a great view down into the Hoskinstown Plain and across to Tallanganda National Park These days it is so green it is as I imagine looking at the damper parts of Ireland to be. This morning it was enhanced by a Pallid Cuckoo perched on a fence. The small dog paused long enough for me to get this.
A reader with good eyesight (and high screen resolution) might notice the asparagus forest nearer the camera, and the large amount of blossom on the erdbeer in the background.
Other items are also blossom ridden. This pear tree suggests we will have a great crop this year (if I can keep the Rosellas away) and the apples are also doing well.
The two forms of currant (red then black) also suggest we will not be short of things to flavour Yoghourt next summer.
Back at the ranch I created a few wigwams. We are not expecting any of Crazy Horse's descendants as guests (although they would be most welcome) but have decided the pyramid approach is what is needed for bean production this year.
