A few nature-related photos
I went for a drive looking for the cattle today expecting to find them new Foxlow Station. But they weren't there and seemed to have left no traces behind. Instead I looked at the ducks including several Australasian Shovelers on a small dam (which was almost dry a couple of weeks ago)...
... and the Foxlow Lagoon which has also been replenished. There were few waterfowl on the Lagoon, but a couple of Pied Stilts were wading in the shallows.
Back home the daisies are flowering which has bought out some insects. These are shown mainly to marvel at the diversity of these life forms.
How do you fit a whole animal into something this small?
This Hebe hasn't flowered for some years but is now doing very nicely!
Quite late in the evening a Sacred Kingfisher was perching in the eucalypt outside our sunroom. Proving the ability of Panasonic FZ300 to stay at F2.8 in very low light I got this nice image.
On 2nd January a Cunningham's Skink turned up on the deck and hid behind some pot plants.
