The season of mists and mellow fruitfulness
This phrase appears to be attributed to the pommie poet Keats who seems to go nuts about apples. They ripen in Autumn to which Mr K was addressing himself
Here in Carwoola it has been pretty misty the last few Spring mornings. We also have got a lot of vegetative harvesting - perhaps technically not fruit - going on.
In this image we have Leeks, Broad beans, Rainbow Chard and a wide range of herbs (US readers please note not "erbs") and a couple of forms of Garlic flowers. Strawberries are also happening but haven't been photographed (yet).
I still haven't photographed the strawberries but will note that over the two days after we returned from the South Coast I estimate we picked about 5kgs of them. We may have to buy a new freezer soon!
