More indications of Spring

The weather seems to have turned the corner, in that at least the minimum temperatures are now above zero.  The maxima have been a bit higher also, which means that with no significant rain for a few days the lawn is beginning to resemble a lawn rather than the early stages of a peat bog.  It is still too wet to mow however so we are relying on the contractors to keep the grass down. (This was a little previous: soon after writing it, a front appeared and dropped 10mm.  Back to the Swamp.)
Wot?  Me eat daffodils?
The first reptile of the season has appeared.  Fortunately it had a desirable number of legs.

Garden flowers continue to come along: in this case the tulips (which we didn't dig up last year) have started to do their thing.
As well as the sights of Spring the sounds are also evident (but I can't reproduce them here).  Dominant amongst these are the frogs, enjoying the wet, and the various cuckoos getting acquainted,  We have now recorded the 4 'normal' species here - which is probably not good news for thornbills and wrens).
