Native flowers of November
At present our property is carpeted with flowering plants. The most obvious of these are Pultanea procumbens an orange 'pea'. They are being challenged by the Hibbertia and Goodenia bushes (bright yellow). Also yellow, and poking out the top, are the best collection of Diuris sulphurea (donkey orchids) I have ever seen. Here are some snaps.
Lets start with a couple of plants mentioned in the introduction: Hibbertia and Pultanea
Next we have a Kunzea (but K parvifolia, not the ubiquitous K ericoides) with some Goodenia underneath it.
The next plant is quite small and looks boring in the paddock, but close up has distinct charm in appearance. It does pong (likened to a rancid pig sty) somewhat however.
The last one for today is a monocotyledon of the Dianella genus. Again there is Pultanea lurking in the background.
