Some pretties from our garden
I have been giving native nature a reasonable run recently so thought I'd put in some of the exotic stuff from our garden for a change. At least it will suggest to those looking a cold Winter in the face that there is brightness to come in a few months. (Although given that most of you will be experiencing the brilliance of Fall Foliage right now, see some examples in this blast from the distant past, you shouldn't be too depressed right now.)
Two variants on Bearded Iris. Others have been posted later when they emerged.
This one was a surprise as Frances doesn't remember planting any that colour!
Dutch Irises.
Two flavours of Columbines.
A Wisteria, which has repaid my fairly savage pruning with a nice array of blossom.
