Traralgon comes good

On our last trip we visited Traralgon to buy a floor lamp.  This time we did so the check out the Railway Reservoir Reserve, which France had fond in an online search.

It was forecast to be cool and wet at our expected time of arrival so the sight of condensation clouds above the power stations of the La Trobe valley was not a surprise.  This is Loy Yang (taken as we bypassed Sale).

A long trail of clouds suggests an inversion was active.
The single plume from Moe was visible later.
When we lived in Ottawa a popular brand of pizzas had the phone number 13 11 11. A joke was that the couldn't be ordered in Quebec as the phone keypads don't have a button for '11'.  Our satnav wore out the '11'  as we approached Traralgon.
There are signs at the Reserve about not feeding the fowl bread.  Someone was feeding the fowl grain which was very popular.  (Later in our walk we were pursued by a flock of Swamphens.)
Water level in the Reservoir, which used to flow down the railway line in the town, was quite low, with lots of exposed mud.  Some duck nest boxes were a metre above the water.
There has been a lot of work on facilities in the Reserve.  This bridge was very attractive,
Most facilities had a sign honouring members of the Friends of the Reserve.
Here is our route, from eBird.  Our list wasn't great as it was cold and we didn't explore the bush tracks.
